Eset NOD32 Antivirus has many hidden advanced features beyond its clean interface.

ESET is a European company specialized in antivirus and protection software. One of its product is a simple antivirus software, NOD32 Antivirus that scan efficiently your PC and find every threat you could have installed. If you want a particular kind of protection (such as parental control, anti-spam features, a dedicated firewall and so on) you won’t find them here, but in the slightly more expensive ESET Smart Security. Anyhow, the features included in the basic edition will be enough for most users.

As with many other antivirus software, ESET NOD32 Antivirus can perform a scan on scheduled times, and it can reduce its performance in case you switch to battery on a notebook. It also has a “game mode” to let you play without impacting fluidity during the game. It is also really effective against zero-day exploits and malware, which is a good thing for every PC owner. ESET took a step further and included educational tools to train its users to come up with better passwords, beware phishing scams and so forth.
