AppSheet offers both a basic editor and an advanced editor for app customization. The basic editor covers the most essential features and parameters, such as the app logo, display controls, app name, security level, and access requirements, as well as offline functionality, while also enabling users to edit spreadsheet data directly and reorganize its structure. The advanced editor includes tools to adjust editing permissions, add more spreadsheets, specify data filters, select data views, add icons and background screens, modify themes for fonts and colors, specify workflow rules, define data sync settings, and more. Both editors use a combination of text fields, toggle buttons, and drop-down menus rather than requiring users to write code.
