GetResponse is a well-known email marketing service since has been one of the first and still remains one of the best. Full featured – from the creation of great responsive newsletter to the comprehensive tracking and reporting tools – very affordable priced, with an interesting range of flexible plans (and a 30 days free trial) and surprisingly easy to use, GetResponse is a great choice both for beginners and for all kind of business that want to improve its marketing strategy.

GetResponse’s homepage is so neat and clear you can be sure to immediately find your own email marketing path – “whether you’re a beginner or an advanced pro” – and even your own language. One of the most outstanding thing you will notice about this platform is indeed the wide range of languages it supports: basically everyone from Africa to Asian Pacific, from Europe to Latin America and United States. And signing up is easy as you can imagine: you just have to provide your name and mail address to allows GetResponse sends you the verification link to start using the service. Then you can choose to create a web form, a newsletter or add contacts to build a subscribers list. In this particular case you can upload a csv, txt, xls, xlsx, vcf, or ods file, import contacts connecting to a third-party service such as SalesForce, Google, Plaxo, Magento, Highrise, FreshBooks, ZenDesk, Formstack, or Batchbook, and of course you can also manually copy and paste addresses. After this process there’s a confirmed opt-in button which will send a confirmation email to all the contacts you’ve entered: a valid option to preserve your contacts privacy. At this point you can segment your list by different criteria (open rate, location, etc…) and set autoresponders based on events such as birthdays, interests and so on.
When it comes to create a new campaign, you’ll can opt for an WYSISYG email creator with drag-and-drop functionality (and more than 500 templates) or an HTML source editor if you are a skilled coder. Before preview you newsletter to see its look on desktop and mobile, you can choose to add tracking options, A/B testing and sharing via the most popular social networks. Once you have done final checks you’ll receive a spam score (very helpful to avoid words that could be flagged as sospicious) and finally you can send or schedule your newsletter or even “time travel” it, that is to say you can deliver it to recipients based on their local time.

Among the lots of interesting features GetResponse offers you there are many tool that really stands out. The Inbox preview, for example, allows you to see how your newsletter will look in an impressive number of 20 different web-based, mobile, and desktop clients. The very comprehensive analytics and reporting options too, that in addition to all the basics offers some smart tool, like the One-click segmentation (you can identify contacts that didn’t engage with your newsletter and register them in a dedicated segment to email again with a different newsletter version ), the Metrics over time (you can exactly ascertain when most of your contacts engage with your emails to better time manage your future sending), and the Email ROI that let you know if (and how) your email campaign drive sales to your business, adding tracking code to your purchase checkout page on your site. Of course we can’t forget to mention the brand new Autoresponders 2.0 that organize in a very clear calendar grid the whole sequences of your automated newsletter, and the outstanding 1 GB of image storage that GetResponse offers to each account, regardless of the number of contacts you have.

GetResponse can count on 24/7 live chat, email, and phone customers support (also if the last one is available only on weekdays until 5 p.m.), and the exhaustive (and very easy to browse) Learning center that provides an extensive library of video tutorials, a knowledge base of searchable FAQs, live webinars – new every week – about its service and email marketing in general, downloadable manuals, whitepapers, and reports, an up-to-dated blog that gives tips and discusses quite important subject such as usefully using social media and SEO strategies.
Of course, if you wanto to get in touch with the company, GetResponse is also on Facebook, Twitter and Google+.

GetResponse offers a generous full featured 30-day free trial that surely is a very good starting point to evaluate it and eventually go ahead for the pricing plans. The cost of the email marketing service is based on the number of your subscribers and we have to say it’s totally affordable (above all if you think GetResponse hasn’t sending limits for your campaigns).
